Mr. Moore passed from this life on January 20, 2026, in Henderson. He was born August 23, 1939, in Troup to the late Johnnie and Mildred (Burnett) Moore. Lewis lived most of his life in Henderson where he spent a majority of his career as a service station attendant for Grady Gibson and later Vaughn Kee. He then went on to work for several years with Eastex Telephone, from which he retired, where he was over vehicle maintenance.

He enjoyed the simple things in life and liked playing dominos, collecting model cars, and going to thrift stores with his wife. For a big part of his life, he was an outdoorsman that like to squirrel and deer hunt and he enjoyed fishing. Lewis was also a man of faith and confident in his salvation. For many years, he was a member of Lakeview Community Church near Chapel Hill and later attended New Life Worship Center in Henderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Juanita Moore, infant twins Marty Ray and Marsha Faye Moore, brother and sister Cullen Moore and Inez Hamilton, and his second wife Lynda Moore.

Enterprise, Viki Moore of Laneville, Tony Moore and wife Carla of Henderson, and Danny Moore and wife Teresa of Henderson; brother James Moore of Arp; sister Regina Owens and husband Steve of Security, Texas; grandchildren Kenny J., Jason, Brandi, Jaylon, Lindsay, Brooke, Corbin, and Dustin; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
