LEWIS A. OXENDINE, JR.

Of Lawrenceville Street Town of Ulster died at HealthAlliance Hospital Kingston on Wednesday October 29, 2025. He was eighty-one. Born in Georgetown, Florida May 8, 1944, a son of the late Lewis A. Oxendine, Sr. and Sallie Mae (Anderson) Oxendine.

Lewis served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by Taconic DDSO until retirement. He loved his family and was proud of his time in the Navy. He loved to reminisce about his time driving cross-country as a furniture mover and always considered himself a snappy dresser.

Surviving are two sons; Lewis A Oxendine III and his wife Celeste, Alan Oxendine and his significant other Patricia Baroni. His longtime companion and mother of his sons; Susan Gibson. One grandson, Dylan C Oxendine. A sister Jessie Lee Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Juanita Victoria Wright and Jerry Mae Oxendine.

I only knew Lewis for a very short time. He was always there to help me in any way possible. I found him to be a kind, loving person. I am sure the Lord welcomed him with open arms. May he rest in peace and may his relatives and friends Have comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering.
