Lewis Seager Peck Jr.

1936 - 2018

November 16, 1936 - November 11, 2018 Pete was born Lewis Seager, Jr. in Hollywood, CA, to Lewis Seager Peck, Sr. and Bernice Klarquist Peck, and was a fourth generation native of Los Angeles. Pete attended University High School, where he met Diane Marie Daugherty, his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years. Shortly after high school, Pete enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country. Pete loved to travel but preferred to spend time closer to home with his family, especially annual summer trips to Lake Arrowhead. Pete was also an avid sportsman and a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan. Following a long battle with cancer, Pete passed away peacefully on Veteran's Day surrounded by his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Pete is survived by his wife Diane, sons Brian (Noriko), Tom, and Stephen; daughters Cathy Morrison (Scott) and Kristi Tanklage (Jon), and grandchildren Akira, Trampas, Madison, Moorea, Elizabeth, and Sydney. Pete is also survived by his sister Patricia Nunn (Geoff), nephew James, and niece Jennifer. Funeral mass will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 11967 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90049 on November 26th at 11:00 a.m. Prior to funeral services, a viewing will take place at Gates, Kingsley and Gates, 4420 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, CA 90230 on Friday, November 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Loyola High School and/or a charity of choice in memory of Pete.
