Lewis Tolbert Quinn, age 81, of Cornelius, passed away while in the care of Via Health Partners Hospice at Peninsula Family Care Home in Cornelius, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, surrounded by those that he loved. Lewis was born on Friday, March 14, 1944, to John and Lynda (Tolbert) Quinn. Lewis was married to Alyce Batchelor on July 2, 1970. Lewis was a loving son, brother, husband father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known for his wickedly sarcastic sense of humor and really enjoyed riding his motorcycle, In fact he and his wife Alyce took their last cross country trip on their motorcycle in 2023. Lewis was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Alyce Quinn, his daughter Christina Walker and her husband Kurt Thielemann, his grandchildren Rachael Connolly and her husband Tyler and Garrett Walker. Services for Lewis will be private and held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are in the care of James Funeral Home of Huntersville, NC.

So sad to hear of Lewis passing. Loved traveling with Alyce and Lewis and will miss him very much.

I so enjoyed ringing hand bells with Lewis in the hand bell choir at First Baptist Church Kannapolis. He was a very special person and marvelously funny! I will miss him.
