Liane Piranio

Beloit, WI - Liane Piranio, 83, of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer for three years. She was born on April 10, 1942, in Beloit, WI the daughter of Russell and Irene (Gregory) Luebke. Liane was a 1960 Beloit Catholic High School graduate. She married Michael Piranio on April 23, 1966 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Liane was formerly employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance as a Short Hand Specialist Secretary for ten years. She was a lifelong member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit. Liane loved traveling; over the years, she and Michael went on eight cruises and took five trips to Italy together. She enjoyed fishing, going on many camping trips, gardening, cooking, and baking. Liane also cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Michael Piranio; children, Joseph Piranio, Antonina (Gene) Kamholz, Peter (Annette) Piranio, and Michael (Stephanie) Piranio; grandchildren, Natalie (Mason) Miller, Preston Piranio, Cody Kamholz, Peyton Piranio, Olyvia Piranio, Gianna Kamholz, and Jaxon Piranio; great-grandson, Myles Miller; sisters-in-law, Joyce Luebke and Rose (Jerry) Russo; brothers-in-law, Alfonso Piranio and Diego (Denise) Tarara; eight nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Liane was predeceased by her parents; in-laws, Giuseppe and Antonina Piranio; brother, Ronald Luebke; sisters-in-law, Antoinette Tarara and Susan Piranio; brother-in-law, Peter Piranio; and nephew, Ronald Luebke Jr. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI, for their care and compassion. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Liane will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 2222 Shopiere Rd., Beloit, WI, with Fr. Bart Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation of Remembrance will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. in the church.
