Libby Ann Klingaman

LAKE JACKSON - Libby Ann Linn Klingaman of Lake Jackson Texas passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 89.

Libby was born on August 21, 1936 in Pharr, Texas to Wesley M Linn and Nina Barnett Linn. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Gary Klingaman Sr., son Wade Charles Neumann, granddaughter, Kellsey Anne Neumann, siblings, Bonnie Bartholomew, Charles "Buddy" Linn, and Lyle Linn.

Libby was raised in Pharr and graduated from PSJA in 1954. Libby loved music. From singing in choir, playing her French horn in the band, plus being a twirler, and playing on the piano that her father bought her when she was 16. And that piano is still being played on today by her daughter and great granddaughters. She enjoyed playing golf at Riverside country club and bridge with her friends, but when the grandbabies were born, she devoted her time to them. Cooking fabulous breakfasts and her famous banana nut cake for all her babies. Being a Nana was her greatest joy. Libby absolutely loved dancing with Gary at Riverside and listening to him sing with Debi and Lowell.

Libby is survived by her son Steve (Tina) Wise, daughter Ann (Kenny) Coe. Grandkids Whittney Wise, Josh Wise, Jonathan Wise, Wesley (Anni) Coe, Timmy (Brittany) Coe, Tommy (Echo) Coe, Elizabeth (Justin) Willoughby, Kassidy Neumann, Courtney Klingaman Talaber, Kendall Klingaman, and Bryn Klingaman. Great grandkids (who were the apples of her eye) Quentin, Andy, Tenley, Alayna, Channing, Titan, Libby, Atlas, and Louie. Many "adopted" grandkids, including Tricia (Travis) Johnson, Travis (Jalyn) Gipson, and Adam and Ashley Poindexter. Her best friend of over 60 years Helen (Clark) Spikes of Mission, Texas and special nephew, Ricky Linn and nieces Genie Oldenburg, Cindy Linn, Judy Dwyer and Melissa Linn.

Libby will be cremated and an informal memorial celebration will be held at Marriott Courtyard in Lake Jackson on November 15 at 3 o'clock.
