Librado "Lee" Garza

A funeral service for Librado "Lee" Garza, 85, of Joshua, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, Texas 76033, with Pastor David Garza officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne, with Ian Garza, Seth Garza, Jeremy Garza, James Adair, Donald Adair, Stephen Adair. Justin Garcia, and Tony Cavazos serving as pallbearers. Jessica Herrera, David Cavazos, Amancio Garcia, Donnie Adair, and Brodi Carper are honorary pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 9:00-10:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 prior to the service.

Librado "Lee" Garza, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on August 19, 1940, in Meridian, Texas, Lee lived a life rich with passion and purpose. He made his mark as a devoted family man and an avid enthusiast of fishing.

Lee was known for his profound love of fishing, a passion that extended beyond mere hobby; he was a dedicated member of the Riverview Bass Club. His enthusiasm for fishing was infectious, as he took great pleasure in teaching the children in his life the joys of casting a line. His legacy will surely endure in the skills and memories he imparted to them.

In addition to his love of fishing, Lee was also fond of flea marketing, where he made many friends and connections throughout the years. His vibrant personality and warmth drew people to him, and he cherished each friendship he fostered.

He had a brief but memorable involvement in the film industry, portraying a Native American in the 1963 movie "Indian Paint." This opportunity demonstrated his willingness to step beyond the everyday, embracing new experiences and adventures.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Delfino and Eloisa Garza; his son, John Paul Garza; his siblings, Matilda Martinez, Ernest Garza, Cecil Garza, and Joe Garza.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Petra Garza; his children: Librado Garza, Jr., James Garza and his wife Kasey, and Benita Long; his grandchildren: Jessica Herrera, Ian Garza and his wife Melanie, Jeremy Garza, and Seth Garza; his great-grandchildren, Elvis Herrera, Dak Herrera, Kayden Garza, Mia Jade Garza, and  numerous relatives and friends.

As we reflect on his life, we remember Lee's favorite saying, "I Love You and Don't Forget," a phrase that encapsulated his loving spirit and reminded us of the importance of connection.

Librado "Lee" Garza will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him, and his legacy of love, friendship, and adventure will forever remain in our hearts.
