On May 27, 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Lee Williams, Jr. received perfect heavenly peace. Samuel w a s born in Orlando, Florida, and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. Through his studies, he garnered a total of two bachelor's degrees and one master's degree. He joined the United States Air Force in 1999 a n d w a s later commissioned in 2004 upon completion of t h e Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at the University of Central Florida.
Throughout his military career Samuel served in various Manpower and Personnel positions. Most recently, he served as ROTC Detachment Commander for Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi, as well as the professor of Aerospace Studies.
Samuel was passionate about advising Airmen with the wisdom and insight he gained during his life and career, ensuring that he motivated his students, mitigated disciplinary issues, and graduated Air Force leaders of character dedicated to serving our Nation.
He was known as a caring individual, always willing to help those in need. He was hard-working, dedicated, and loved his family dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memory...his wife: Major Tiffany J. Williams, USAF; sister: Lovevia R. Williams, Orlando, Florida; brother: Michael L. Windom (Susie), Orlando, Florida; niece and nephews: Bobbie Harris, Shemar Batie, Kevin Mason, Michael Windom, Jr., a n d Dallas Windom, all of Orlando, Florida; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, other loving relatives, and friends.
