Lilia Hernandez Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 19, 2024.
Lilia P. Hernandez, 89, born in Havana, Cuba (1934) entered into rest on August 8, 2024, at her home. She was the loving wife of over 50 years of the late Jose M. Hernandez. She was the daughter of Juana Perez Corzo and Esteban Perez.
Prior to arriving in the United States, she was a hairdresser instructor. She then moved to New York, where she worked at Lord and Taylor for over 25 years. She and her family lived within the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area for over 40 years. They also lived within the York area for over 18 years to be close to their family and watch their beautiful granddaughters grow. Lilia enjoyed singing with her husband as he played the guitar, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Lilia is survived by her daughter Janet and her husband, Marcos Delgado, along with her granddaughters, Joselyn and Olivia. She is also survived by her stepson, Jose Alberto and his wife Maria. She was blessed to have beautiful relationships with numerous generations of nieces and nephews who reside in New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Florida and Cuba.
A private visitation for her family to share their memories is being held.
