Funeral services for Lillian M. Dreger, age 88, of Norfolk, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, at Home for Funerals Chapel, 708 Georgia Avenue, in Norfolk. Reverend Gordon Braun will officiate, with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Home for Funerals in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements.
Lillian died Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at her residence.
Lillian Marie Dreger, daughter of Clarence and Mary (Boska) Burger, was born May 7, 1937, in Boyd County, Nebraska. Lillian attended country school in Boyd County and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to LeRay Dreger on December 29, 1956, in Norfolk, Nebraska and were blessed with five children.
Lillian and LeRay lived in California for a time before moving back to Norfolk. She was employed at Dale's Electronics in Norfolk for 25 years. Lillian later worked part-time in the bookstore at Northeast Community College.
Lillian enjoyed traveling all over the United States, often on Moostache Joe Tours. Her biggest passion was quilting and she was a gentle, caring animal lover, taking care of stray cats and many of her own pets through the years. Lillian walked every morning with her daughter Donna and loved spending time with her family. She was also an avid Husker fan.
Lillian is survived by her children, Tony Dreger of Norfolk, Donna (John) Wenner of Norfolk, Mike (Kathy) Dreger of Norfolk, and Patty Dreger of Gretna; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRay in 1999; son, Allen in 2020; and brothers, Leon and Edward Burger.
