Lillian Ruth Johnson

Lillian Johnson, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Lillian was raised on Daisy Mountain. She met and married the love of her life Glen while attending Soddy Daisy High School at 17. She was a loving mother, devoting her life to raising her 4 children. She was a wonderful cook, and it always brought her family together for big Saturday meals. Mom loved spending time with everyone and was very dedicated to her family and was known endearingly as "Memaw".

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Glen Johnson, parents, Raymond and Margaret Smartt and grandson, Travis Johnson.

Lillian is survived by her children, Steve Johnson, Darlene Combs (Bruce), Bill Johnson (Marsha) and Denise Ricketts (Jerry), grandchildren, JR Johnson (Chelsea), Mike Johnson (Luda), Amanda Johnson, Christopher Combs (Kathleen), Beth Hoelke (Robby) and Emily Ricketts, 11 great grandchildren, siblings, Ray Smartt and Sue "Tootsie" Daughtrey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family would like to thank Soddy Daisy Healthcare for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Pet Placement Center at 5975 Dayton Blvd Chattanooga, TN 37415 (https://www.petplacementcenter.com/) in memory of Lillian.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 and prior to services from 1:00 till 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Services will be in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 with Chaplain Charles Ingle presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
