The world has lost a beautiful soul. Lillian Juanita Loe Anderson, 88, passed away at her home on July 11, 2022. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Noon with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1 PM. The interment will be held at Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Noon. Brother Randy Harper will be officiating.
Nita was born on April 12, 1934, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Edgar and Annie Mae Loe and is the baby of 11 siblings. To immediate family she is known as Honey, Mama, Nana, but to her sisters, nieces, and nephews, she is known as Aunt Nita Baby.
Nita met her beloved husband, Andy, in 1956 while on a blind date when Bruce was stationed at BAFB. He was a lieutenant in the USAF and she was a nurse at Confederate Memorial Hospital in Shreveport. Nita claims her fried chicken stole his heart, because after he finished eating he proposed. Andy promised if she married him, he would bring her home to her family in Louisiana when he retired..... and he did.
Nita has always had a servant heart. Nita enjoyed spending time volunteering for the American National Red Cross where she became a decorated volunteer earning a variety of service awards. Nita earned grateful appreciation for Outstanding Volunteer Service in 1967 through the Black Hills Area Chapter of the American National Red Cross. The Chief of Chaplains for the United States Air Force presented Nita with Meritorious Service certificate. Nita further earned an award of appreciation as Chairperson of Volunteers for the year of 1975 at Ellsworth AFB. Further, she unselfishly donated endless hours assisting adults and youth with Mother's Aide classes. Nita also taught endless Sunday school classes, as well. Lastly, as an extremely proud military wife, Nita was thrilled to be nominated in 1966 as Outstanding Officer wife for her beloved husband's squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base.
To know her was to love her. Nita never met a stranger and was always ready to visit and eat something eat something sweet. She was always dressed to impress and always found a reason to dance even if it was in the kitchen while cooking. Always ready for a function (party), Nita loved great food and mostly loved surrounding herself with family.
Nita leaves the following to cherish her precious memory: her dearly loved husband of 66 years, Lt. Col. Bruce D. Anderson, Retired; daughters, Annie Mae Brown (Doug) and Patricia Sue Anderson; son, Bruce D. Anderson, Jr. (Karen) of Tarpon Springs, Florida; grandchildren, Stacey Ann Sebesta (Brian) of New Braunfels, Texas; Eliot Anderson Chavanne (Samantha) of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Matthew Bowker of Denver, Colorado; Donovan Jeremiah Anderson of Denver, Colorado; James Scott Brown (Kim), Lauri Brown Dugan (Mike), Jennifer Brown Hammons (Brian), Kyle Moorcones of Tampa, Florida, Samantha Moorcones of Tarpon Springs, Florida; great-grandchildren McKinzey Alise McCabe of College Station, Texas; Connor Andrew McCabe of Lubbock, Texas; Emmett Kursch Chavanne of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Parker Gene Stough (Heather), Lauri Beth Stough of Lafayette, Louisiana; James Campbell Brown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; great-great grandchildren Parker Webb and Harris Gentry Stough; one sister, Jean Fair Jones of Mansfield, Louisiana; puppy, Bailey; and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Drew and Eddie; sisters, Mabel and husband, RW Emery, Charlotte and husband, Robert Jackson, Ann and husband, NY Crawley, Marie and husband, George Pittman, Nancy and husband, Lewis Walker, Frances and husband, Chuck Hughes; brothers, Lloyd, Daniel, and David Loe.

Our heartfelt condolences to Andy, Annie, Tricia and Bruce. I will forever be grateful to Nita for her kindness and generosity 54 years ago. She was one of a kind! She, Andy and their family became lifelong friends. For that we thank them.
