Lillian A. Moraitis (nee Sarno)
Age 76 of Joliet passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born in Chicago, IL to the late Henry and Frances (nee Punicki) Sarno. Beloved wife of the late John T. Moraitis; loving mother of Philip (Leanne) Wargowsky and Maria (Angelo) Della Ragione; cherished grandmother of Katherine and Ella Wargowsky, and Carlo and Angelo Della Ragione; dear sister of Rosaline (William) Kirk and Theresa Biliunas; special aunt of Marg, Laura, and Helen. Lillian loved spending time with family and friends, telling stories, cooking, baking, and fishing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 3 pm – 8 pm. Funeral services Saturday, August 10, 2024, with prayers at the funeral home at 8:30 am then to St. Jude Catholic Church 241 W. 2nd Ave, New Lenox, IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am. Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
