On Monday, February 26, 2024 in Ocean Pines, MD, at the age of 89. Loving wife to the late Elwood Payne. Beloved mother of Kenny (Tammy) Payne and Linda Cruse. Also survived by four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis DeSales Johnson, Sr. and Lucy Mattingly, her five brothers, Mitchell, Francis Jr., Alfred, Joseph and James Johnson, by her four sisters, Margaret Buckler, Mary Cecelia Guthrie, Agnes Welch and Helen Canon, her son, Bernard Payne, and son-in-law, Gordon Cruse.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 from 1 to 7pm at Gasch’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4th at 10am at Gasch’s and will be followed by burial at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD.
