On Thursday, October 16th, 2025, Lillian Robben, loving wife and mother of three sons, passed away at the age of 96. Lillian was born on July 6th, 1929, in Walker, Kansas to Frank and Elizabeth Kippes.
Lillian had a successful and fulfilling career as cafeteria manager at both St Phillip Neri Catholic Church (where she was a lifelong member) and Monroney Junior High. Lillian married Paul Robben on September 9, 1947, and they had the blessing of 62 years of marriage. Paul and Lillian raised three sons, Harold, Howard and Keith. Lillian was the matriarch of her family.
At the age of 90 she continued to mow her yard, often mowing the neighbor's yard if it wasn't groomed just right to her liking. She was passionate about her yard being beautiful and she loved her pink petunias. She and Paul spent many weekends at their second home (cabin) at Lake Eufaula and many Octobers at Destin, Florida. Destin was their happy place. Lillian was an avid reader. If she started a good book, she often stayed up all night to find out the ending. Bacon and chocolate were her weakness! And maybe shopping. She was always dressed in her best. Lillian was always ready for a new adventure, a new friend, a good meal and treasured moments with her family.
Lillian was proceeded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, her husband Paul and her son Harold and daughter in law Terri. She is survived by her sons Howard (Brenda) Robben, Keith (Vickie) Robben, her nephew and niece Michael (Roxanne) Rohleder that she adopted in her heart as her own. Six grandchildren; Jason, Kristie, Brian, Katie, Colt and Senecca, 9 great grandchildren; Cody, Addison, Ethan, Justice, Theo, Lincoln, Grant, Brooklyn and Riley. Also, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She treasured her time spent with the Monroney group. Her neighbor, Candi, who became family was a support in her life as a few things began to slow her down.
A memorial for Lillian will be held on November 15th at 10:00 am at Barnes-Friederich &Pope Funeral Home-1820 S Douglas Blvd Midwest City, OK.
