Ray Franks, passed away on February 15, 2026 at the age of 64 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 18, 1961, along with his twin sister, Faye, to John W. and Lucy Mae (Kilcrease) Franks. Ray lived in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Sasakwa High School. He was a member of the Tallahassee Band of Seminole Nation of Oklahoma. He worked in the pipeline industry as a field truck operator for Okemah Construction and Joe Max and most recently in maintenance for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
Ray is survived by his spouse, Kim Harjoche, his sons; Justin Franks of Holdenville and Austin Cvto Harjo of Earlsboro, daughters; Rachel Franks of Seminole, Nina Harjo (Mario) of Seminole and Sydney Harjo (Donald) of Wetumka, brothers; Danny Franks of Sasakwa and George Franks of Holdenville, sisters; Molly Mack of Shawnee, Margie (Manuel) of Seminole, sister in law; Linda Franks of Ada, grandchildren; Javen, Joel, Sage, Addy, Nicco, Gannon, Kaisen, Calliope, Xavier, A.J., Corbynn and Keaton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister; Faye Harjo, his son Eric Factor and his brother and best friend; Virgil Franks.
Ray will be taken at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2026, to Middle Creek #2 Baptist Church for a wake service which will begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the church with Curtis Kinney and Kellos Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Franks Family Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
Casket bearers will be RB Burgess, Kevin King, David Frank, Sonny Gouge, Wellington Dindy and Abraham Davis II. Honorary bearers will be George Thompson, Lewis Johnson and Stanley Johnson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
