Phyllis Watkins Obituary
Stratford, OK resident Phyllis Deane Watkins passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at her home at the age of 82. Phyllis was born on October 3, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA to Bane Herding and Addie Oneta (Norman) Watkins.
Phyllis enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and flipping houses in Florida. She found peace in turning pages, tending her garden, and creating with her hands. In the quiet rhythms of her life, she built something lasting: a family rooted in love. Her devotion to her children was unwavering and her love will continue to grow in the hearts she nurtured.
Phyllis is survived by her son, James Curtis Cunningham; daughter, Terrell Lynn Cunningham; brother, Eddie Watkins and his family; one grandchild; three great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Shirly, Gloria, Billie Ann and Judy.
A celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at a later date.
