Lillie Abel Davis, 81, of Hale Center, passed away on May 8, 2025, in Plainview, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 12, at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center, Texas, with Rev. Taylor Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Hale Center.

Lillie was born on March 24, 1944, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Minnie (Weil) Pringle. She moved with her family to Hale Center in 1957 from El Centro, California. She married Joe Abel on March 26, 1962, and they were married for over 20 years. Later, she married Gary Davis, and they shared nearly 20 years together.

Lillie worked as an LVN at Hi-Plains Hospital in Hale Center for over two decades. She had a deep love for her home and nature-gardening, tending to her flowers, trees, and yard brought her joy. She was fond of cats and found peace in simple pleasures like shelling pecans and crocheting. A talented seamstress, she also loved reading and enjoyed visiting with her friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Joe Abel and Gary Davis.

Lillie is survived by her son, Tim Abel and wife Heather of Hale Center; her daughter, Barbra Armstrong of Tripp, South Dakota; her brother, David Pringle of Clinton, Oklahoma; her sisters, Paula King of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Marie Bland of Clinton, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Tabetha Belyeu and Billy Joe Collis, both of Tripp, South Dakota, and Will Abel of Hale Center; and one great-grandson, Dominic Law Miller.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Hale Center EMS, P.O. Box 1027, Hale Center, Texas 79041.
