Graveside services for Margaret Gerhardt, 85, of Hale Center, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Hale Center Cemetery, with a procession to the cemetery beginning at 10:30 a.m. and under the personal care of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Margaret Lopez Gerhardt was born in South Plains, Texas, on September 15th, 1939. Her parents were John R. and Salome A. Lopez. Mom had 8 brothers and sisters: Charlie, JP, Stella, Sally, Willie, Gilbert, Julia and Phillip. Margaret married Rejino Gerhardt on Nov 14, 1953. Rejino preceded Margaret in death on November 5, 2014. She is survived by her 7 children: Cynthia, Vivian, Brenda, Ray, Steve, Linda, and Patrick. We gave mom 15 grandchildren and currently 25 great- grandchildren. Mom lost her grandson Cody Houston Bell in April. We were blessed to have our Mother as a stay-at-home mom. She was the center of the family and adored by all who loved her. Margaret and her youngest son Patrick were like two peas in a pod and did everything together. Patrick was her exclusive caregiver for the last six years. Margaret was a devoted Jehovah's Witness. She attended the Hillcrest Congregation in Plainview, TX. Mom loved all kinds of animals, she loved her flowers and little garden, but she loved and adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, even more! We love and miss you, Mother …
