Lillie Smiley (nee Sunderman) Obituary
Lillie A. Smiley, age 88, born on January 27, 1937, died on October 20, 2025, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her parents Clem Jr. and Ethel Sunderman. Loving wife of 66 years to James Smiley. Loving mother to Beth Smiley, Jenny (Mark Olah) Smiley, Peggy (Matt) Hausfeld, Jimmy (Kim) Smiley, Amy (Steve) Hartkemeyer, Kristi (Dave Uhlmansiek) Smiley, Todd (Diane) Smiley. Grandmother to 11, Sarah, Ian, Olivia, Sam, Ben, Sophia, Isabella, Patrick, Lillie, Alex and Max. Beloved sister to Clem, Dick, Jack, Tom, Ken and Mike Sunderman, Janet Ankenbauer, Betty Wilhoit, Pam Leiman, Margie Lombardo, and Karen Gering.
Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Avenue, College Hill. 45224 on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 4-7 pm. All friends and family are welcome to join for a Christian Mass at St. Ann’s Church 2900 Galbraith Road on Thursday October 30, 2025, at 10:30 followed by burial at St. James Cemetery.
