Lily Ellis Obituary
Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Dale Ellis; son, Brian (Emily) Ellis; daughter, Melissa (Chris Clayton) Weaver; grandchildren, Grayson Weaver, Wade Ellis, Emma Ellis; sisters, Judy Mayes Smith, Vicky Cates Everheart; brothers, John Ed Mayes and James Mayes.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Clements Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Gary Chambers. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
The family wishes to thank the staff with Duke Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Animal Protection Society of Durham 2117 E Club Blvd. Durham, NC 27704.
