Lily Giuffrida Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2026.
Lily Rose Giuffrida, of Norristown, Pa, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Born October 8, 1931, to the late Giuseppe and Rose Lena (nee Catalano) Patelmo. Lily was the beloved wife of 75 years of Dominick Giuffrida Sr.; loving mother of Angela Kenny (Kevin), Roseanne Hartley (Michael), Joanne DiMarzio (Anthony), Suzanne Popowicz (Robert), Lily Todd (Alan), Dominick Giuffrida Jr. (Lisa), and Anne Marie Elduff (John); cherished grandmother of Robert, Kevin, Marie, the late Monica, Joanna, Diane, Maria, Anthony, Dominick D, the late Jason, the late Natalie, Richard, Carly, Sarah, Alicia, Ricardo, Nicole, Ryan, Leslie, Jonathan, Rachel, Christina, Dominick III, Amanda, Julia, John, John T. II, Samantha, Sabrina, and David; Lily leaves a proud legacy of many great-grandchildren.

She was deeply devoted to her faith and spent many years teaching CCD, sharing her beliefs and guiding younger generations. She remained committed to service throughout her life, supporting charities, organizing community events, and actively giving back wherever and whenever she was needed.

She was politically active in Montgomery County and dedicated herself to improving the lives of others and strengthening her community. Of note, Lily has been recognized by the Governor of Pennsylvania, served on eleven (11) committee boards supporting her community, and the recipient of the Pope Pius X award for years of distinguished service in the field of Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

A lifelong enthusiast of music, opera and theater, she shared her love of the arts with her children. She sang beautifully, was a published poet and an accomplished pianist, bringing warmth and joy to those around her.

She also had a passion for travel and exploration. Lily co-owned LilliMar Travel with her lifelong friend, Marion Brandon, helping others experience the joy of seeing the world. She traveled extensively herself, always eager to discover new places and cultures.

Through every chapter of her life - as a wife, mother, teacher, community leader, businesswoman, and friend - she lived with purpose and determination. She showed us the importance of faith, service, curiosity, and perseverance. She taught us to stay engaged with the world, to help others, and to live fully. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the lives she helped shape and the love she gave so freely. Her life was one of faith, service, dedication and adventure-and we are forever grateful for the gift of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lily's Life Celebration on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 10 to 10:50 AM; followed by her Memorial Mass at 11 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2007 New Hope St, Norristown, PA 19401; interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
