Her Legacy Lily Ann Sielaff, 87, passed away March 24, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1937, in Garden City, Michigan to Bruno and Edna (Peers) Huse. Lily married the love of her life, William Sielaff, on September 26, 1974, in Redford, Michigan. Lily spent over 20 years as a receiver at Danny's Foods in Plymouth, where she was well loved by her coworkers and customers. She was very skilled at crocheting, and taught lessons. Lily was known for her baked goods, everyone loved her baking. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid video poker player. Lily and her husband Bill would spend many summers at their cottage on Houghton Lake and fishing for walleye. Lily was incredibly kind and was her family's rock and strength. She was always there for you and her children and grandchildren were her entire world. Lily was adored by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Her Family Lily will be missed by her children, Carl (Donna) Kayden, Vicki (Mark) Higgins; sisters, Fran Rogers, Beverly Kunkle; grandchildren, Jeremy (Graceann), Mark (Flo), Jessica, Joshua; and a few nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Sielaff; parents, Bruno and Edna Huse; sister, Eleanor Engle; and brother, Charles Huse.
Her Farewell Lily's family and friends will gather Friday, March 28, 2025, from 3:00PM-8:00PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. Her Community Farewell will take place at 6:00PM. Pastor Dave Vercellino will serve as celebrant. Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Health Michigan Heart.
