Lina Rico passed away January 12, 2025 in Columbus, Ohio.
Born October 29, 1957, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Lina Rico lived a life marked by love, resilience, and dedication. In 1982, she made the courageous move to Ohio, where she built a life surrounded by family. Lina worked for over 20 years at Value City Department Stores, earning the respect and friendship of her colleagues.
Lina was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Isaac and Esther Kans, her nephew Gustavo Fischman and her in-laws Alfonso Rico and Celsa Rico.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alfonso; her cherished daughter, Georgina (Taylor); her loving sister and brother-in-law Elsa and Alberto; sister-in-law Mariangeles, and nieces Romina (James), Micaela, and Bianca; as well as other relatives and close friends who were like family.
A private service will be held for immediate family.
Lina's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.

I had the privilege of working with Lina and Elsa both over the years at Schottensteins. My family worked with her family (Ester and Isaac) for many years and considered them family.
I was heart broken when I heard the news today.
Sending thoughts and prayers from the Bond family to all of Lina's family in this difficult time.
