Linda Jo Anne Garmany passed away on June 17, 2025, at 10:35 pm.
She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of LaFayette First Baptist Church since September 3, 1974.
Jo Anne was preceded in death by Beacher Garmany, her loving husband of 58 years and her parents Glen and Opal Morrison.
Jo Anne is survived by her daughter, Rechelle G. Adkins and her husband Scott A. Adkins, whom she loved as her own son.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Morrison, the Reece, the Ramey, the Waddington, the Sweatman, the Garmany and Jones Families for their care and support.
Jo Anne was born in Walker County and was a life-long resident of LaFayette. After graduating LaFayette High School, she became a licensed cosmetologist, served as a bookkeeper for Garmany Motors, and retired as a customer service representative with Comcast.
She served her community as a member of North LaFayette PTO, a Girl Scout Leader, a youth leader at LaFayette First Baptist Church. She is also a Life Member of the LaFayette Woman's Club where she served in various roles since August 1977.
Jo Anne loved her family, her friends, and her community.
The family will receive visitors at the LaFayette First Baptist Church on Thursday June 19, 2025 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm.
A private graveside service will be held at LaFayette Cemetery with Dr. Derrick Fielder officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be the LaFayette Woman's Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LaFayette Woman's Club Scholarship Fund or Friends of the Library in memory of Jo Anne Garmany (P.O. Box 813, LaFayette, Georgia 30728).
