Linda Gail Miller Arnaud, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. She was born on December 19, 1954, in Opelousas, LA.
Funeral services for Linda will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA. Father Brian Harrington will officiate the service.
The visitation will be held in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, June 28, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 4:00 PM. A Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 PM.
Linda will be remembered for her work as a bookkeeper at a local home health agency. One of Linda greatest joys in life was spending time with her family. She adored her three grandchildren who brought immense happiness into her life.
Linda had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. Her specialties were her deviled eggs, rice dressing, brownies, and banana pudding. Linda loved listening to Cajun Music and watching westerns on TV. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She looked forward to the moments she spent with her cousins, Tammy and Mickey, on Saturday afternoons. She was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA.
She is survived by her son, Toby Higginbotham and his wife, Karen of Leonville, LA; her daughters, Kelie A. Sebastien of Sunset, LA; and Kalie A. Jones and her husband, David Adam Jones, MD of Las Vegas NV; her brother, Donald Miller and his wife, Robin of The Villages FL; her sister, Dorothy "Dot" Carahan of Lake Charles, LA; her Godchild, Beau Leger of Church Point, LA; the father of her twin girls, Gerald Arnaud of Sunset LA; her grandchildren, Aubrey Higginbotham, Bonnie Corkin, Madison Jones, Zackary Cason and Brody Cason; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Miller and Versie Bellow Miller; and her son-in-law, Myles Sebastien.
Linda's kindness, generosity, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing she made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
