Linda M. Atko (Beard), December 26, 2024, lifelong resident of Southwest side of Chicago, dearly beloved wife of the late Robert J. Atko Sr.; loving mother of Robert J. (Molly) Atko, Jr., David (Marni Fredrickson) Atko, James (fiancé Dana McLees) Atko and Lawrence Atko; devoted grandmother of Danielle, Nicole, Michael, Jaime, Bobby, P.J., and Peyton; dear sister of Janette (Dan), late Annette (Sam), and Diane (Dan); beloved mom to many; also survived by numerous fond friends. "Lifetime member of the Breakfast Club and School District 181."
Linda enjoyed her occasional trips to casinos, or anywhere that had slot machines, and listening to a wide genre of music. She will always be remembered for her contagious smile and infectious laugh.
The family will receive friends at CENTRAL CHAPEL 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 3-8 PM. Funeral Friday, January 3, 2025 with chapel prayers at 8:45 AM to St. Bede Catholic Church, 8200 S. Kostner Ave., Chicago, IL 60652 for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
