Linda Sue Baugh

Linda Sue Still Coates Baugh, age 76, of Rogers, AR, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. Linda was born on October 29, 1948, in Hope, Arkansas, the daughter of Lee and June "Thompson" Still. She grew up in Hope, where she often shared many happy memories from her childhood days on South Walnut Street. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Lewis "Fletcher" Baugh, and two brothers, Jerry Don Still and David Lamar Still. Linda married and started a family early in life, having two daughters who were the light of her life. In her early years, Linda was a homemaker and devoted mom. Later, she went back to college to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She graduated from nursing school at the University of Arkansas at Monticello the same year her oldest daughter graduated high school. They celebrated their graduations just days apart. Linda went on to enjoy a 25+ year career in Labor and Delivery and was often called "the baby whisperer" for her unmatched ability to comfort and care for newborns and their families. In 2001, Linda married Fletcher Baugh, and together they built a life filled with love, blended family, travel, and cheering on the Razorbacks. She especially loved gardening-her flower beds were the envy of the neighborhood-her grandchildren and traveling with Fletcher as a member of the Road Hogs. Linda inspired many with her compassion for those less fortunate or ill. Her love of cooking and entertaining rubbed off on her grandson Caleb after years of baking with his Mam, ultimately leading him to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. Her grandson Trey received his love of books from his grandmother, and she delighted in scouring bookstores to find World War II titles he didn't already own. Her daughter Natalie and granddaughter Ashton both followed in her footsteps by becoming nurses, shaped by her influence and deep love of the profession. Her daughter Kim inherited her mother's strong will and quiet determination. Linda also inspired countless young nurses throughout the years with her example and guidance, leaving an enduring impact on the profession she loved. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to Jamestown Health and Rehab, specifically their Memory Care Unit, in Rogers, AR, whose staff filled the last months of Linda's life with genuine love, care, respect, and peace; Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas, whose care was always top level and full of compassion; and Circle of Life Hospice for their kindness, care, and support in her last days. Linda is survived by her two daughters Kimberley Coates Shroyer and husband Pat of Gold Canyon, AZ, and Natalie Coates Ledbetter and husband David of Lowell, AR; three grandchildren who affectionately called her "Mam," Caleb Shroyer of Phoenix, AZ, Trey Tate of Loveland, CO, and Ashton Tate of Nashville, TN; and one brother, Tommy Still and wife Gigi of Texarkana, AR. Linda had many additional loves including three stepsons, Scott Baugh and wife Kim, Steve Baugh and wife Sheri, and Jason Baugh and wife Laci. She also cherished her many bonus grandchildren-Brady, Katherine, Kirk, Hailey, Peyton, Brooklyn, Trinady, and Trenton-as well as several great-grandchildren (a few of whom she was blessed to meet and hold), who are scattered across Arkansas and Oklahoma. Her legacy continues through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched as a nurse, friend, and beloved "Mam." She will be remembered not only for her compassion and strength, but for the love, encouragement, and inspiration she gave so freely to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Circle of Life Hospice of Northwest Arkansas. A private interment will be held on October 7th in Fayetteville, AR. Linda will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and we envision her dancing in heaven now with those loved ones who've gone before her.
