Linda Ann Bedell

Linda Ann Bedell, 74, of Norwalk, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Born in Norwalk on January 19, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (McNerney) O'Gorman. Linda was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and went on to attend Norwalk Community College. She worked for many years at John Hancock Insurance and Advanced Computer Technologies.

Linda's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children: Keith Bedell and his wife Suzanne, Melisa Bedell, Matthew Bedell and his wife Kristen, Frank Cassidy, and Jackie Skorvanek and her husband Rob.

She was affectionately known as "Muma" to her cherished grandchildren-Robert, Kyla, Mason, Kinley, Kohen, Joe, Bryant, Allaina, and Isabella.

She is also survived by her brother, James O'Gorman and his wife Connie; her sister, Nancy Guay and her husband John; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her husband, Robert Bedell; her brother, William O'Gorman and his wife Sandy; and her long-time companion Barry Smith, lovingly remembered as her "Main Squeeze."

She will be remembered fondly by many for her pragmatic advice, endless stories ("land the plane Linda"), passion, and "investments" in TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 3, at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
