Linda Cano Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 29, 2019.
Mrs. Linda (Gray) Cano, of Edgewater and Annapolis, Maryland, gently passed away after a long illness, in the presence of her loved ones on May 23, 2019 in Mobile, AL. Linda is survived by her husband, Michael Piette; daughter, Carly Cano Hart (Jon); mother, Julia Gray; brothers Colin Gray (Carol) and Bruce Gray (Robin); and sister, Brenda Gray Wilson (Charles); two nieces, a nephew and a grand-nephew. She also leaves behind her cat, Minu and dog, Slinky. She was preceded in death by her dogs, Bebe and Bandit.

Linda was born on May 3, 1961 in Washington, DC, to Julia Gray and the late Richard Gray. She grew up on the South River where she loved skiing, crabbing, swimming, ice skating, sleigh riding and just hanging out on the beach with her friends. Linda was determined to live life her way from the moment she was born. She loved her freedom, music, dancing, having fun, laughing, her family, and her many, many friends. She graduated from Annapolis Sr. High and Woodbury College.

The happiest day in Linda's life was the day her daughter Carly was born. She was and always will be so proud of her darling daughter and will always be by her side. "...to the moon and back!"

Linda was married to Michael Piette in October, 2018 in a lovely ceremony on Dauphin Island, AL. witnessed by family and friends. It was a wonderful day.

So many of us will miss you, Linda, to the last days of our lives. Now you go and have all the coffee, un-sweetened tea, blue crabs and shrimp you want! Love you, infinity.

Those who wish may donate in Linda's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Smile Train or Wounded Warriors. Plans for her memorial will be posted in the near future.

I can still hear your distinctive laugh. It would cause me to smile, even if I was on the other side of the room and no idea what you were talking & laughing about. Thats how big you lived. Such a kind, beautiful, strong soul. Those that got to spend their time with you will certainly feel that void. I pray the memories that were created between you will refill the void with the joy of having the gift of knowing your love. Peace now sweetheart. You fought hard! ❤
