Linda M. Carlson

Linda M. Carlson (nee. Klingelhofer), age 76, died on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Ascension St. John Macomb-Oakland in Warren. She was born on June 16, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Herman and the late Katie (nee: Schimmer) Klingelhofer.
Linda lived in the Grosse Pointes for her entire life. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1964 and went on to study at Endicott College in Massachusetts.
After college, she worked as a surgical technician for over 30 years at various hospitals including Henry Ford Hospital - Main Campus, Cottage Hospital, and Harper Hospital.
Linda's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed being a choir mother at Christ Church Grosse Pointe for many years. She loved music and movies, had a quick wit and infectious laugh, and brought her unbridled optimism to every adversity. The world is a sadder place without her smile to brighten it.
Linda was the beloved wife of the late Robert Carlson. Loving mother of Margo (Mike) Croke and Mark (Nicole) Ambrose. Dear grandmother of Drew Croke, Gavin Croke, Noah Croke, Lucy Ambrose, and James Ambrose. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her sister, Margo Chadwell.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11 from 4pm to 8 pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 16300 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Park 48230. Funeral will be Wednesday, October 12 at 12 noon at Christ Church Grosse Pointe, 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd., Grosse Pointe Farms 48236. Interment to follow at Acacia Park in Beverly Hills, MI.
