Linda Gail Wilkinson Chaney

Mrs. Linda Gail Wilkinson Chaney, age 61, of West Green, Georgia, passed away Saturday evening, December 27, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.

Linda was born April 8, 1964, in Douglas, Georgia to Inez Judy Riggins Wilkinson, and the late Bervon Ellis Wilkinson. She was a housewife who made her career caring for her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and had a special love for her puppy, Gizmo. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and raising chickens, but she found her greatest joy in being around her family. Along with her father, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Chaney, and a son, Harley Ray Chaney.

Linda leaves behind three sons: Billy Howard Chaney and wife, Stephanie (AKA: "Ethell") of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Jimmy Ellis Chaney and wife, Stephanie, of West Green, Georgia, Thomas Lindsey Chaney and fiancé, Hollie Fussell, of West Green, Georgia; a grandson, Billy Howard Chaney , III of Hazlehurst, Georgia; a great-granddaughter, Presley Rae Hayes; a sister, Debra Inez Vickers and husband, Clark, of Ambrose, Georgia; and a brother, James Ellis Wilkinson and wife, Rhonda, of Quitman, Mississippi; along with a number of extended family members.

Linda's family is honoring her wish for memorialization by cremation, and no service scheduled at this time.
