Linda Chestnut, age 80, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at her residence.
Linda was a CNA for over 20 years. She retired from Chipola Nursing Pavilion. She loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening.
Preceded in death by her father and mother, William and Garnette Shawkins; sisters, Eileen Talbert, Julie Shawkins Ivalee Baker; brothers- John Shawkins(Ava) Guy Shawkins (Dale); daughters, Teresa Flowers-Liebert and Vicki Flowers; two nieces and a nephew.
Survivors include her son, Scott Burgess; granddaughters, Chasity Matthews (Jason), Tabitha Willis (Dustin), Sylvia Flowers, and Jennifer Rictchey; grandsons, Trevor Jeter, Trance Burgess, and Christopher Nelson Jr; great granddaughters, Rylee and Emmalynn Matthews, Kate-Lynn, Kay-lee Worthington; great grandsons, Hunter, Austyn, Tyler, Kason Matthews and Kaden Worthington.
Celebration of life will be 10 AM, January 14, 2022 at Evangel Church with Pastor LaVon Pettis officiating. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in charge of arrangements.
