Linda Boyd Civils, age 71, of New Bern, NC, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 2, 2025.
She was born on November 15, 1953, in New Bern, NC, at St. Luke's Hospital. Linda married George Civils in 1993, and together they made a loving home in the Riverdale community. She was a devoted member of Croatan Presbyterian Church.
Linda worked for 25 years at New Bern Building Supply, where she made many dear friends. Previously, she worked at The Farm Shed and Clark's Department Store. She was quick to share fond memories of the places and people she worked with in the past.
Linda loved to go fishing and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed canning and preserving the fruits of her labor to share with friends and family. Linda loved her family deeply and valued every moment spent with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Helen Boyd, and her sister, Sue Boyd Andrews.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Boyd Lilly, and son, Kenneth Reid Boyd, Jr. (Fallon); bonus children, Helen Lewis (Michael) and Georgette Smith (Scott); grandchildren, Charity Boyd, Noah Lilly, Jacob Lilly, Hunter Boyd, Khloe Boyd, Malina Boyd, Hope Boyd, Michaela Lewis, Emma Yeager, Ava Yeager, and Lilly Yeager; great-grandson, Kristopher; siblings, Cathy Barber (Mark), Eva Miller, and Richard Boyd, Jr.; sister-in-law, Daphne Civils; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
