Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kahlert Funeral & Cremations - Maysville on Oct. 7, 2025.
Lorne Alexander Blanks, lovingly known as "Bo," was born on June 19, 1964, in Whiteville, North Carolina, to the late Charles and Minnie Blanks. He peacefully departed this life on October 3, 2025, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. Bo was educated in the Jones County Schools and proudly graduated from Jones Senior High School, Class of 1982. He later discovered his passion for auto detailing, beginning his long career at Lejeune Honda of Jacksonville, NC. For over 30 years through the transition to Stevenson-Hendrick Honda Bo gave his absolute best to his craft. His dedication, attention to detail, and pride in his work made him stand out as both a master detailer and a trusted vehicle transporter. If you knew Bo, you knew he loved two things deeply Honda and Mountain Dew and he lived life with that same energy and loyalty. Beyond his work, Bo was a faithful and devoted servant of God. He served as a dedicated deacon at H.O. Simmons memorial Christian Church, where he gave selflessly of his time and spirit. Bo was a humble man of few words, but when he spoke, his words carried wisdom and truth. One of his favorite sayings was, "I'm alright" or "I got it," no matter what he was facing that was his answer an expression that reflected his quiet strength, independence, and unwavering faith. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Minnie Blanks; and brothers, George Blanks and Oscar Blanks. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sister, Natalie Washington (Chris) of Houston, TX; brothers Thomas Blanks of Houston, TX, and Elliott Blanks of Freeman, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, coworkers, and dear friends who will forever remember his solid, no-nonsense spirit and his genuine heart.
A Celebration of Bo's Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday October 9, 2025, at H. O. Simmons Memorial Christian Church in Maysville with Pastor Dwayne Fonville officiating. Interment will follow the service at White Oak Cemetery, Gibson Bridge Road, Maysville, NC.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 8, 2025, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville.
