Linda Kaye (Steetle) Cochran, 68, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024.
Born on May 14, 1956, in Indiana, PA, to Clarence M. Steetle and Margaret J. (Kowchuck) Steetle, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, H. Gerald Cochran; her parents, Clarence and Margaret; and her brother, Michael Steetle.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Amy) Steetle of Indiana; her nephew, Wade Steetle of Indiana; nieces, Nicole (Joseph) Pope of Pittsburgh, and Leah Steetle of Indiana; her stepchildren, Lori (Steve) Prather of Acworth, and Jarrod Cochran of Atlanta; her step-grandchildren, Drew, Marina, and Cera Prather of Acworth; grand-nieces and nephews, Gage and Sunnie of Indiana, and Jordan and Emma of Pittsburgh. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Catfish.
Linda's greatest role in life was that of a caregiver. She lovingly cared for her husband throughout their 40 years of marriage, remaining by his side until his passing in 2022. She provided unwavering support to her father and brother during their battles with cancer and other illnesses, staying by their side until the end. Her deep love and devotion extended to her stepchildren and step-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Whether family by blood or by bond, Linda's care knew no limits. She was the dependable aunt who would answer the call from afar and the steadfast friend who treated loved ones as if they were family. Her fierce loyalty and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2023 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, GA 30504. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service.
