Linda Smith Cotton, 73
Linda Smith Cotton died on December 2, 2025. She was born on July 14, 1952 in Lake Wales, Florida to William "Harvey" and Nadine Smith. She was a member of The Gathering Church. She enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, cooking, baking, spending time with family, and most of all, serving others.
Linda grew up in Okeechobee and moved to Orlando, where she had a successful career as a hairdresser and owned her own salon. She later returned to Okeechobee to be closer to family and was the office manager at Bass Electric for many years until retiring. She spent the last two years living at The Palms of Sebring.
Ms. Cotton was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Smith; mother, Nadine Price Smith; and her grandparents.
She is survived by her twin sister, Glinda Williams (Dodd) of Okeechobee, Fl; sister, Cathy Smith Strohmaier (Walter) of Lake Wales, Fl; nieces, Connie Williams Eades of Okeechobee, FL and Marla Kulek (Steve) of Lake Wales, Fl; nephews, Capp Williams (Kim) of Okeechobee, Fl and A.J. Seidman (Michelle) of Lake Wales, Fl; great nieces, Kaitlyn Williams of Okeechobee, Fl, Shilah Word of Midway, Ga, Hayden Kulek, and Sophia Seidman both of Lake Wales, Fl; great nephews, Conrad Seidman of Lake Wales, Fl; cousin, Butch Daniels (Linda) of Eutis, Fl; and many other cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at The Gathering Church, 1735 SW 24th Ave. Okeechobee, FL 34974.
