Linda Crossley, age 78, passed away on June 10, 2025, in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born in Enid, Oklahoma, to Neal and Iola Penner.
A master gardener, Linda dedicated her life to nurturing not only her plants but also the people she loved. She had a special way of making others feel seen and cared for—whether in her garden or in her everyday life.
For more than two years, Linda faced cancer with remarkable courage and grace. Her spirit remained strong, fueled by her passion for life and the people around her. She enjoyed spending time at Drakes and the Pit Stop, always in the company of those she cherished. She also found joy in hunting, visiting local casinos, and attending the many activities and events of her children and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Crossley, with whom she shared 62 cherished years. She leaves behind her children: Lynn Pearcy (David), Lisa Wood, and Carla Shepherd (Justin). She was a proud grandmother to Blake Hooker (Brittany), Olivia Hooker (Jevon), Raye Pearcy (Lucas), Drew Pearcy (Jeny), Taylor Guy (Cody), J.D. Wood (Courtni), McKinley Wood, Joe Wood, Tucker Shepherd, and Landry Shepherd, and 13 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Larry Joe Penner (Jerry) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members who will miss her warmth, humor, and unwavering support.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Iola Penner, and her brother Riley Penner, father and mother in-law Ed and Hazel Crossley.
Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness lives on in the many lives she touched.
Visitation for Linda Crossley will be held on June 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. A funeral service will take place the following day, June 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Elk River Baptist Church. Linda will be laid to rest in Butler Cemetery.
Her memory will forever be a part of those who knew her, and she leaves behind a tapestry of love that will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
