Sue Ann Whitcomb, a beloved homemaker remembered for her adventurous spirit and generous heart, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, under the compassionate care of Good Shepherd Hospice. Born Sue Ann Harding on January 21, 1944, in Eureka, Kansas, she lived a life filled with curiosity, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature—especially the vibrant colors of fall and the fresh blossoms of spring.

A proud high school graduate, Sue Ann dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker and embraced it with warmth and devotion. She was known among family and friends as a spirited rebel, someone who preferred the unbeaten path both in life and on the road. She loved exploring back roads, always seeking a new route and the discoveries that came with it. Her affection for her pets and her deep love for her grandchildren brought tremendous joy and meaning to her life.

Sue Ann’s many hobbies reflected her connection to tradition, family, and the outdoors. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and canning—skills that highlighted her creativity and care. She also loved gathering wild berries and nuts, earning her the nickname “Berry Lady” from those who knew her well. Her baking was cherished by many, especially her celebrated cookies, cakes, and muffins that brought comfort and sweetness to countless gatherings.

She is survived by her loving son, David Whitcomb, and his wife, Stacy. Her legacy continues through five grandchildren—Angelis Schraad, Naylah Schraad, Zayda Schraad, Alistair Schraad, and Christopher Blevins—and one great-grandchild, Damon Schraad. She also leaves behind three devoted brothers: John Harding and his wife, Bobbi; Hugh Harding and his wife Patty; and Mike Harding and his wife, Rita.

Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Wilma (Beedles) Harding, and by her beloved husband, David Whitcomb.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, March 23 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Council House Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose independence, warmth, and steadfast spirit touched all who knew her.
