Melinda Lee (Daniel) Curtis – age 75, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Sarah Daniel: siblings, Leroy, Evelyn, Sarah, Charlie, Delilah, Beulah, Ed, Mercedes, Mollie, Will and Virginia. Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 60 years, Steve Curtis; daughters, Trina (George) Coots and Laura (Scott) Huddleston; grandchildren, Stephany (Derrick) Horton, Michelle (Benjamin) Calfee, Andrew Coots, Jayla Huddleston and Colby Huddleston; great grandchildren, Greyson Calfee, Koleson Horton, Corbin Horton, Sadie Calfee and Sullivan Calfee; sisters, Betty Blanton, Doris McCarter, Barbara Osborne, Mary Daniel and Dorothy (Mike) Shackleford; in-laws, Harry (Juanita)
Curtis, Della Daniels and Shelvey Jean (Buddy) Long; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral to follow with Reverend Jody Darden and Reverend Roger Foust officiating. Per her request, she will be cremated and her ashes spread in her family cemetery on Daniels Mountain.
