Linda M. Darling, 63, of Parsons, passed away at 6:06 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2025, at Labette Health in Parsons.
She was born on March 13, 1962, at Parsons, Kansas to Ivan J. "Bud" Reed II and Patsy (Shineflew) Reed. She grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools.
She worked at several nursing homes, Beachner Construction, Black Opal Pottery, and SKIL.
Linda enjoyed fishing, pottery, playing pool, and camping. She loved holidays and especially enjoyed hosting Christmas, 4th of July, and New Year's Eve parties. Despite her struggles in life, Linda had a "Heart of Gold" and was always there to help anyone in need. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her life, and cherished every moment and memory she shared with them.
She and Robert Darling were married on May 8, 1982, at Parsons. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2021.
She is survived by her son, Josh Darling of Parsons; her daughters, Aimee Fitzgerald (Justin Cypert) of Bixby, OK and Sarah Darling-Williams (Dustin Fraker); her grandchildren, Geramiah Fitzgerald, C'eara Darling (Ricky Ellis), Ryan Darling, Layla Fitzgerald, Ethan Darling, Emma Darling, Kylie Darling, Trinity Darling, Kennide Fitzgerald, Matthew Williams, Elizabeth Williams, and Leia Cypert; her great-grandchildren, Atreus Ellis, and Cailym Ellis; her sister, Karen Zook (Rusty) of South Mound; and her brothers, Roger Kuffler (Debbie) of Wichita, and Gary Reed (Tina "Dung" Ngo) of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ivan J. Reed III.
Private family services will be held later. Burial will take place in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses, and these may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
