Linda Daughtery, age 67, passed away on March 10, 2026. She was a woman who lived life with strength, heart, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Small in stature but mighty in spirit, Linda was a true leader within her family and among those who knew her best. Linda was known for her huge heart and kind nature. She had warmth about her that made people feel welcome and loved, especially when they received one of her unforgettable hugs. She was a go-getter in every sense of the word, and that being determined, hardworking, and always ready to step in whenever someone she loved needed help. While she could be set in her ways at times, it was always rooted in her deep sense of loyalty, protection, and love for those closest to her. Family was the center of Linda's world. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, always present and supportive in every season of their lives. After the heartbreaking loss of her grandchildren's mothers, Linda stepped in without hesitation to help raise them, providing the stability, guidance, and unconditional love they needed. Her strength and dedication during that time reflected the remarkable woman she was.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. Many evenings were spent in front of the television watching her favorite show, SWAT, where everyone in the house knew it was best to stay quiet so she could enjoy every moment. She also loved a good scary movie and could often be found relaxing with a piece of dark chocolate while watching her favorites.
The kitchen was one of Linda's happiest places. She was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals for her family, gathering everyone around the table. Some of the best memories shared with her were at the kitchen table playing a competitive game of rummy, where laughter and friendly rivalry filled the room.
Linda was a proud mother and grandmother, but one of her greatest joys in life was becoming a great-grandmother. Her love extended through generations, leaving a legacy of strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to family. She was also fiercely protective of her daughters, especially when it came to the men they brought home. Linda made sure every future husband passed her test, a reflection of how deeply she cared for the well-being of her girls. Linda Daughtery will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her fierce love for her family, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love and lessons she shared will live on through the many lives she touched.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Jimmie Brown and Bessie Lou Gordon, her husband; Steve Daughtery, and two daughters; Fawnia and Locrissa Daughtery. She is survived by her sister; Regina Marshall, three grandchildren; Katlin Littlepage (Hunter Scarbrough), Dyllan Foree (Brittney Maclin), and Dalton Foree (Angelina Rhodes), and one great-grandson, Colton Littlepage.
