Garrett - Linda Lou Davis, 83, of Garrett, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Linda was born on June 11, 1942, in Garrett, Indiana, to John and Genevieve "Jenny" (Reavis) Freeze. On August 20, 1960, she married Steven E. Davis Sr. in Garrett.

Linda worked at the family business, Freeze TV Shop, in Garrett before becoming a devoted homemaker. She found great joy in planting flowers, playing bingo, and especially traveling. Linda and Steve made regular trips to Nashville, Tennessee, where they enjoyed The Grand Old Opry, Country Music, and visiting flea markets together. She had a special love for ice cream and never missed a chance to enjoy a sweet treat.

Linda was a Cub Scout leader for her son through his early Boy Scout adventures. Linda loved to dance and was a proud member of the Applejack Cloggers for 25 years, dancing alongside her daughter. She was also a member of the Garrett American Legion Auxiliary Post 178. More than anything, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, who were the center of her world.

Surviving Linda are her children Steven E (Tracy) Davis Jr, of Auburn, Indiana, and Jennifer (Dustin) Schweitzer, of Huntertown, Indiana; brother Jack (Edna) Freeze, of Garrett; sister Debra (Phil Mussallem) Boyd, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother-in-law, James (Sherrie) Davis, Columbus, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Jane (Paul) Yoh, Leo, Indiana, Carol (Frank) Pion, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Becky (Mike Sulkowski) Davis, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Leanne (John) Hatzidakis, Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Jeremy (Alyssa) Davis, of Auburn, Joshua (Kristen) Davis, of Auburn, and Jacob Davis, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; great-grandchildren Violet and Tilian Davis, and Addelynn, Brooklynn, and Callan Davis.

Preceding Linda in death are her husband Steven E Davis Sr., parents John and Jenny Freeze, brother Jim Freeze, brothers-in-law Bob Davis and Tom Davis, and sisters-in-law Diane Freeze and Cindy Davis.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00am, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 County Road 56, Garrett, Indiana, with visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am. Pastor Jim Keckler will officiate. Burial will follow at Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett. Visitation will also take place from 4:00 to 8:00pm, Monday, March 2, 2026, at the funeral home.
