Linda Diane Decker, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1st, 2025. Born on September 23rd, 1952, in Maryville, Linda lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to her family and students.
Linda was a dedicated educator, earning her master's degree in education and sharing her passion for learning with students in Atlantic and Clarinda, Iowa. Her career as a school teacher was marked by her commitment to her students, who she considered an extension of her family.
A woman of many talents, Linda was an accomplished seamstress and found joy in creating beautiful pieces. She had a zest for life and a love for travel, exploring destinations such as Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, Japan, and Italy. Her adventurous spirit was also evident in her love for water skiing at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Linda's friends and students were incredibly important to her, and she was a devoted mother figure to her nieces and nephews, relationships she treasured deeply. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Linda was the cherished daughter of the late Gerald Elmer Decker and Mary Ellouise Decker. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Greg Decker; nephew, Brian Lyle; aunt, Carolyn Lewis; and cousin, Todd Zirfas.
Linda is survived by her brothers, Ron Decker of Maryville, MO, and Kurby Decker of Kansas City, MO; her sister, Pam Decker of Kansas City, MO; and her special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Lee Moser. She leaves behind a host of cousins, including Tanya, Vince, Leann, Melissa, and Mark, as well as nephews Brad, Troy, and Cory, and nieces Beth, Mandy, Olivia, and Kylie. Her legacy continues through her great-nieces and nephews: Ashton, Dalton, Keaton, Wyatt, Jax, Trayden, Penelope, Hayden, and Brynan.
Pallbearers honoring Linda's life will be Dalton Olson, Troy Decker, Brad Lyle, David Olson, Aaron Froehlich, and Jax Froehlich.
A Visitation will be held at Bram Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow the same day at 1:00 PM at Bram Funeral Home. Burial will follow, located at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maryville, Missouri.
