Sandra Kay Marlow, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated educator, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at Village Care Center in Maryville, Missouri surrounded by her family. Born on Friday, January 9th, 1953, in Duluth, MN, Sandy lived a life full of love, learning, and adventure.

Sandy was a proud graduate of Stanberry High School, Class of 1971. She pursued her passion for education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1974 and a Master's in Education in 1975. Sandy dedicated 31 years of her life to teaching, inspiring countless young minds as both a 2nd-grade and 3rd-grade teacher at Stanberry Elementary in Stanberry, Missouri. Her commitment to her students and her profession was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of knowledge and kindness.

Sandy was an active member of the Missouri State Teachers Association (MSTA) and the Public School Retirement System (P.S.R.S.). Her love for learning extended beyond the classroom, as she enjoyed traveling to National Parks with her family during the summers, exploring the beauty of nature. She also had a passion for movies and antiquing, always finding joy in discovering hidden treasures.

Sandy is survived by her devoted husband, Kent Marlow, of the home; her loving children, Michael Marlow (Dani Caddy) of Pittsburg, PA, and Maleah (Dustin Greenlee) of Maryville, MO; her brother-in-law, Jim (Jill) Marlow; her sister-in-law, Kim Marlow; her mother-in-law, Nancy Marlow; and her cherished grandchildren, Grace Greenlee, Colton Greenlee, Elliana Greenlee, Madalynn Greenlee, and Liam Greenlee. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews Benjamin and Ryan Marlow, niece Tierney Marlow, many former students whose lives she impacted, and a host of dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Emil Schumann and Hildred Eloise Schumann, and her granddaughter, Arya Greenlee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Bram Funeral Home in Maryville, MO, on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a burial following at a later date, located at High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Missouri. Family, friends, and all whose lives Sandy touched are invited to join in remembering and honoring her remarkable life.

Arrangements are provided by Bram Funeral Home. Sandy's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sandy's memory, continuing her legacy of giving and caring for others.
