Linda (Dubes) Isley, 65, of Delphi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. Linda was born on March 8, 1960, in Lafayette, to the late John and Grace (Bradford) Dubes.
Linda was a 1978 graduate of Delphi High School. After graduation, Linda worked at Landis + Gyr for over 15 years. Linda then went to work for Purdue University at CoRec as a crew chief for over 15 of those years before eventually retiring.
In her free time, she loved watching kids play sports in town. Her favorite time was always spent outdoors especially when the sun was out. She loved to travel to Mexico with her niece Jennifer and spending as much time as she could on the beaches. Her most cherished time was spent with her loving family, and especially her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her daughter; Debbie (Corey) Barnard, sisters; Marsha Dubes, Debra (Carol Sue) Dubes, grandchildren; Mia Barnard, Harper Barnard, and grand dog; Luca.
Preceding Linda in death include her former husband; Dan Isley, brothers; Michael Dubes, William Dubes, Jerry Dubes, John Dubes, and her best friend; Billie Hicks.
A funeral service honoring the life of Linda will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Shirey Funeral Home, 121 N Union St, Delphi, at 3 pm, with Pastor RayGene Wilson officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 1 pm. A private family interment will take place at IOOF Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg at a later date.
Memorial contributions honoring the life of Linda may be made to the Wabash & Erie Canal Park, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
