Linda D Fowler, 76, wife of Jerry Fowler died Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at The Palms at Florence.

Born December 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lloyd Johnston and the late Norma Cox Johnston. Linda was well known for her award-winning ceramics that she loved to make. She retired from USAF Civil Service as a secretary.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Jennifer Gainey (Earl); three sons, Jerry "D.H." Fowler of North Carolina, Ryan A. Fowler (Jennifer) of Sumter, and Marcus Edmondson (Jenni Lynn) of Sumter; seven grandchildren, Olivia Fowler (Damjan Hezir), Jessica Woods (Kindra), Amberlyn Fowler, Megan Atkinson (Dalton), Cathryn Scharf (Austin), Anna Grace Fowler, and Colton Edmondson; two great-grandchildren, Rylee Atkinson and Nora Woods; one sister, Janice Costa (Paul) of Kingwood, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Tiffany Fowler Sigworth and one brother Alan Johnston.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Sammy Geddings officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday 11 A.M. to 12 P.M before the service and other times at her home.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
