Linda Lou Gorman, age 71 of Lakewood (formerly of Shawano), passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 3, 2025 surrounded by her family after battling cancer for a year. Linda was born on March 26, 1954 to the late Ray and Irene Schuster. She lived in Shawano, WI where she graduated in 1972. That year, she also got married to her husband, Jim Gormon, on September 2. Linda put in 25 years of hard work into her job at Reinhardt Foods before working as a lunch lady for 10 collective years at Clintonville and Wabeno School districts. Working in sales and as a lunch lady gave Linda the opportunity to interact and impact many people. She enjoyed getting to know other people and learning new things about the world. Linda had a special love for working with kids and connecting with nature, which she frequently did with her dogs and family. After finishing the building of their dream cabin in Lakewood, Linda and Jim moved in and retired a few years later. From there, Linda enjoyed the simple things like going for walks with her dogs, spending time with her grandchildren, UTV rides, campfires, going to the lake, feeding the hummingbirds, and simply enjoying the nature around her and the animals within it. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the honor of meeting her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jim Gorman; children, Donald Gorman and Kristina (Jason) Shepherd; sisters, Barb Groleau, Betty (Jim) Szucs, Judy Zimmerman, Mary (Pete) Vanderpoel, Patty (Joe) Schroeder; grandchildren, Kaden, McCasalin, Gage (special friend Karigan), Hope, Oliver, Connor, Keegan, and Willow; sisters-in-law, Ellen Louis and Carol (Jerry) Peterson; brothers-in-law, Mike (Levone) Gorman and Butch Hein; beloved dog, Ruby. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Dale Groleau and Steve Louis; father-in-law, Don Gorman; mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Burnese and Floyd Burmeister; nephew, Ryan Peterson; beloved dogs, Kashmere, Sadie, Roxy, and Ray Ray.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church in Townsend from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 pm with Pastor Bo officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.

It has been a very long time since I have seen Linda, but she was one of those Friends that you have for a lifetime even if you do not see each other regularly. We shared many laughs and good times in the Jaycette Organization. Always a good time when we got together. She is a wonderful person and my life was made better from knowing her and calling her Friend. Rest in Peace Linda!!
