Louis A. Tenaglia

Louis Angelo Tenaglia, age 91 of Suring, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Louis was born on July 21, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Pia Cascari and August Tenaglia. He graduated from Boys Tech High School and began work as a journeyman, before becoming an electrician in May 1958 and working at Duffy Electric.
On November 8, 1958, Louis married Ruth Bruske at Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He immediately enlisted in the Army and was in the federal reserves for 5 1/2 years.
Louis became a Master Electrician for the State of Wisconsin and worked for the Milwaukee Public School District for 27 years and retired in 1995. He was immensely proud of his work and was able to utilize all of his natural skills. Louis enjoyed helping anyone he could and never expected anything in return.
Louis and Ruth lived in Milwaukee for most of their lives before moving to the Suring area in 1996. He was an avid card player.
Louis and Ruth proudly celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 8, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruth; 2 sons, Louis Jr. and Angelo.
Louis is survived by his 2 daughters, Louise (Jerry) Faust of Summerfield, NC and Rosanne (Tod) Bushman of Hendersonville, TN; 5 grandchildren, Kelsey (Danny) Baughman, Katherine Faust, Kevin (Nicole) Faust, Matthew Bushman, and Allie Bushman; great-granddaughter, Piper Baughman. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. John Catholic Church in Gillett from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am with Father Antonio De Los Santos officiating. Louis will be interred at Hickory Cemetery beside Ruth. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Louis's name to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
