Louis Daniel Tenaglia

Louis Daniel Tenaglia, age 68, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, at his apartment during his ongoing recovery from heart-related issues. Known as "Lou" to his work friends and as "Dan" to family and close friends, he was preceded in death by his parents, Richard David Tenaglia, Sr. and Nina Kathleen (Armstrong) Tenaglia. He is survived by his loving companion, Martha Carpenter Hayden; brother, Richard D. Tenaglia, Jr. and wife, Roxie; brother, Robert Denver Tenaglia; niece, Jennifer (Tenaglia) Fields and her husband, Michael Fields; and many extended family members.
He graduated from Dublin High School (1974), attended The Ohio State University, and was in The Ohio State University Marching Band (1974). Dan also attended Florida State University, studying Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography.
Dan worked at Vulcan Enterprises/Horta Foodservice in Seattle, Washington, in the early 1980s, helping to expand Domino's Pizza to Seattle, and had a lifelong passion for Pacific Northwest geology. He worked as a produce clerk at Kroger for the past thirteen years at the New Albany and Dublin stores.
Dan was well-known for his many contributions as an Ohio Gordon Setter dog breeder. He was the founder of Tarbaby/Dante Gordon Setters, competing in field trials, hunt tests, obedience, conformation, and various support dog capacities. He was an AKC Field Trial and Hunt Test Judge for pointing breed bird dogs and was an instructor for ten years at the Columbus All-Breed Training Club. His many colleagues, friends, and family will miss him for his affable personality.
